Judith Haire – Author

Judith Haire was born in the UK in 1955.  She graduated in

Political Theory and Institutions at Sheffield University (1981).  She

then returned to work in advertising before spending eleven years in

the civil service.  At 37 she suffered an acute psychotic episode which

was to change her life radically.  She lives by the sea with her

husband Ken and their cat Smudge.  Her first article was published

in Mental Health Practice magazine in 2007.

She has also been published in Community Care magazine and 

Your Voice (Sheffield)magazine.  Her first book,  Don’t Mind

Me  was published in 2008 (Chipmunkapublishing)  She

contributed to Mental Health Publishing And Empowerment 

by Jason Pegler (Chipmunkapublishing, 2009) as one of over 20

Chipmunka authors and in 2011 contributed to Our Encounters

With Madness  a mental health text book, Edited by Grant, Biley

Walker, PCCS Books.
