Far be it from me –

Critical thinking and writing

The Critical Psychotherapy Network

The Society is designed as a refuge for critical thinkers to explore their writing and reflect on this in terms of other people’s experiences of practice, theory and research. As the manifesto attests, the imposition of a social scientific methodology to critical psychotherapy is deeply problematic. The Society aims to link with other radical groups who transmit knowledges about human encounters in a more creative manner. We are editors of the European Journal for Counselling and Psychotherapy, and are commited to publishing good quality pieces about critical psychotherapy. Several examples can be seen below. The Society will be publishing a Special Issue on Critical Psychotherapy on an annual basis. Please consider submitting an article, or email if you wish to discuss submission for the annual issue. The Society encourages members to send blog posts, reflections, reports on activities and ideas to be published on this website.
